The Skin,Warm,Color work starts from a study on the physical meaning of skin.The skin, that completely envelops us, is the most important sense organ that receives tactical, thermal and pain stimuli. Besides having sensorial characteristics, it is also distinguished by a multifaceted functionality: it breathes, secretes, eliminates. The skin is a membrane that transmits not only sensory functions but also stimulates the “reflexivity of thought,” in the words of psychoanalyst Didier Anzien.

Following the concept of “Io-pelle” which he elaborated, I work on the canvas and on the color as if it were the skin. In oil works the pictorial film participates in the change of sensorial phases, the color crumbles as if to indicate discomfort on the skin, a somatization, a reflection of disharmony between us and the world around us.
